The Toolkit Intro
Time: 1-2 hours
Topic:
This training introduces you to the concept of the toolkit, starting with a look at the neurobioloby of trauma, boundary setting, escalation, and basic disengagement techniques from attackers.
The Toolkit of Self Defense - Core Curriculum
Time: 5 sessions, 1 hour each
Topic: This session covers the full Toolkit starting with those items covered in the introductory course and diving deeper into the tools that makeup your kit of defense.
Standard Layout:
1) Getting into the Grove -
The basics of conflict, distance, and movement.
2) Forward Momentum -
Forward attacks, using your natural reactions, and gaining control.
3) Rolling Around -
When the movement hits to the ground and a look into the legality of self defense based on your state.
4) Behind You! -
Attackers from behind and responses to chokes.
5) The Finish Line -
Using the toolkit in any situation; wall attacks, and more.
