The SIBBA is an educational and professional non-profit organization that is dedicated to the improvement of martial arts and its member practitioners. Our membership year runs January 1 - December 31. The dues are very reasonable and are scaled for different levels such as student, non-black belt, adult black belt, family and lifetime. While you don’t need to be a black belt to be an SIBBA member, Grandmaster Pak strongly recommends that those testing for Black Recommend and above be current SIBBA members. Through your membership and support we are able to offer the many services listed below, and more.

SIBBA Symposium – This one-day event, typically held in the Fall, provides our members with a wide range of martial arts experiences they would not normally experience in their regular workout.

Website – Our website has many resources, check it out!

Merchandise – We offer a wide selection of affordable martial arts-themed apparel such as T-shirts, polos, caps, and tank tops. We also sell neckties for blackbelts to wear at testings and tournaments, poomse DVDs and other miscellaneous items. Look for our table at local Pak-family tournaments and the Iowa Games.

Electronic scoreboards systems – Our state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard systems are available for rent. We provide a tech crew and maintain the systems.

Newsletter – Our newsletter is published four times a year. Spring, Summer and Fall are posted online at the SIBBA website, and our Winter newsletter is printed and mailed in late December.

Scholarships – We offer three $400 academic scholarships, one $400 leadership scholarship, one $150 Jared Ringstad Memorial scholarship and one $250 Junior Olympic Scholarship.

Referee Awards – Two awards are given each year at Banquet: the New Referee Award and the Outstanding Service Referee Award.
